Performance Training Program (Levels I through IV)

Pan Theater's performance program is for those looking to develop performance skills and get experience performing improv and being part of a troupe. Pan Theater's main stage and Alumni performers have gone through our training program.  Completing the Pan Theater training program (Level IV) makes a performer eligible to audition for Awkward Face and other house teams.

Pan Theater Training Troupe Level I

This level provides a review of basic improv concepts and group performance games. This level culminates with two performances.  Level I is by audition or receiving a pass from Improv Basics. Level I is for those serious about performing and about getting a strong foundation in the Pan Theater style.

Pan Theater Training Troupe Level II

Our level two troupe focuses on two person scenes and refining scene work. This level may include simple long form work.  This level culminates with two performances.

Pan Theater Training Troupe Level III

This level focuses on the Montage long form format.  The level includes practice with edits and finding emergent themes and narratives. This level includes work in Meisner Technique.  The troupe concludes with two main stage long form sets.

Pan Theater Training Troupe Level IV:

This level focuses on the Harold long form format. The level concludes with at least two main stage performances. Those that complete this level are eligible to join our Alumni group and may be invited to audition for Awkward Face - Pan Theater's main performing group.

Alumni Training

Ongoing - Level V

Alumni that wish to continue training with a Pan Theater director may join the Alumni Troupe. The troupe commitment is three months at a time and topics for each three months vary. Performers must have completed Level IV to be eligible to participate in the Alumni performing troupe. We also offer drop in single sessions and intensives for Alumni.
