Pan Theater | 2135 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612 | ph: 415 724-
Pan Theater is an Oakland, California based improv theater. We focus on improvisational
approach to acting. Our work includes both short form improv (Whose Line is it style
comedy) and long form improv.
Our work is heavily influenced by the work of Viola Spolin, Sanford Meisner and Del
Close. Pan’s troupes have trained with, been directed by or hosted workshops with
David Razowsky, The Upright Citizens Brigade Touring Co., Doug Kassel and Shulie
Cohen.
Pan’s approach to actor training incorporates Meisner technique and other related
exercises.
Pan was founded in February of 2002 by Skip Evans and other local Bay Area improvisers.
Pan
Theater is a place for performers to learn, study, practice and perform improvisational
theater. Pan creates improv ensembles and our Troupe Training Program is a "theater
bootcamp" for those new to improv theater.
