What past students have said about Pan Theater's Improv Basics Class

Class Description:

This class takes the basics to the performance level. You've played games, taken classes and had fun- but now you want to do it all in front of an audience.

Live Comedy Shows San Francisco Bay Area Fort Mason

Class Focus:

The games and exercises used in the class will help performers develop their expressiveness through playing new theater games and beginning to refine the games played in Improv Basics. Students will acquire a deeper understanding of the elements of a good improvised scene and a stronger understanding of the basics of improv. Those taking the class are expected to see one Pan Theater beginning show as a group.

Many people take this class several times. When possible we suggest taking this class with different instructors to learn new games and new ways of looking at a scene.

For those interested in studying improv, we suggest skimming any of the articles below to get a better understanding of the art form.
