Training Troupe: Level III
DESCRIPTION:
This troupe is for players who have
completed Level II of troupe training at Pan Theater. Players will
continue to practice skills learned in levels I and II while beginning to
explore long form improvisational technique. The focus of Level III is on
having players explore the structure and methods of beginning, combining
and editing multi-scene sets (improvised plays/long form improv). The
level will include extensive work on edits, theme exploration, call
backs, jumps and group mind. Performers at this level will begin working
with cutting scenes with both on stage edits and with black out scenes.
The focus of this level is on the Montage format. This level will
include basic Meisner Technique exercises (repetition) as part of the
group practice. Participants that complete this program are eligible to
audition for Training Troupe Level IV or they may repeat this troupe
program without auditioning again. Please note that this group is kept
smaller than our early sessions to help refine and foster the sense of
ensemble and troupe building. The audition for this level often requires
performer's to repeat Level II before moving on.
